The Last Time
When was the last time you let the students teach?

Reflect on recent weeks of the school year. When did you last ask the learners to become the instructors? Was there a time when you gave students a voice to explain a concept in class, whether it was peer educators or just an informal description of a personal story or historical event?

The Next/Last Time

The Next Time
Take advantage of the next time you can let students teach.

Teaching also benefits the instructor. To teach means to process in deeper ways that improves one's own analysis and comprehension. Let students be the focus of learning— is there part of your curriculum where you, as the teacher, allow peer instruction? It doesn't need to be a speech or presentation; instead, informally or in small groups, give students a voice and help them build on previous connections.
